Known for explosive live performances built on thick bass lines\, layered harmonies and fearless improvisation\, the band delivers a sound that fuses funk\, rock and R&B into something uniquely their own. Expect a powerful\, dance-driven show rooted in tradition but fully alive in the moment. \nDumpstaphunk has become one of the most respected modern New Orleans musical institutions\, carrying forward the city’s legendary funk lineage. Founded with ties to the Neville family legacy\, the band was originally formed during Jazz Fest in 2003 and has continued to evolve through multiple generations of musicians. Their shows have drawn sit-ins from major artists including Carlos Santana\, Flea\, Bob Weir\, George Clinton\, Chaka Khan\, Dave Matthews\, Trombone Shorty and members of Phish\, reflecting their wide influence and reputation. Today\, the group continues to expand its sound with a dynamic lineup that honors its roots while pushing funk into new territory. \nEnjoy free live music on select evenings this summer at the Scioto Mile Concert Series\, presented by Columbus Recreation and Parks. Each show takes place at Bicentennial Park along the Scioto Mile\, with performances starting at 7 p.m.\, plus food trucks and a bar will be available. This concert is produced in partnership with the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA).
