Westgate Park Fishing Event

You are invited to join us for the Westgate Park Fishing Event on Friday, March 28! This fishing event will be held from 2-4 p.m. at the pond at Westgate Park, located at 455 S. Westgate Ave., 43204. The pond will be stocked that day with rainbow trout by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) for families to catch and eat! Bring your fishing pole and some bait; the rainbow trout do not survive in warm weather temperatures so anglers are encouraged to fish for them at this special event! ODNR staff will also be there with a fish filleting station so people can take the fish home to eat. We hope to see you at this free event!
Youth under 16 can fish in public ponds without an ODNR fishing license. For those over 16, you can get a resident 1-day license for $14 or a resident 1-year license for $25 online or from local retailers.
