PLAY Scholarship Fund

The PLAY Scholarship Fund was created because the City of Columbus believes all kids deserve the chance to play regardless of their ability to pay. Eligible families with children 18 years and younger can apply for a PLAY Scholarship for any fee-based program offered through Columbus Recreation and Parks Department, including summer camps, classes, aquatics programs and sports leagues.

In 2026, each child will be eligible for up to $150 in scholarship support for the year, with awards provided based on eligibility. Scholarships can be used for summer camp as well as sports, aquatics and community center programs offered by the department throughout the year. Please note, the PLAY Scholarship can be applied to summer camp after the first week of camp is paid for.

The PLAY Scholarship Fund is supported by donations from individuals, businesses and organizations Help children play by supporting the fund!
