Disc Golf Courses
Columbus Recreation and Parks is proud to offer three places to play disc golf within the Columbus area. The Griggs and Hoover Reservoir Disc Golf Courses have lease agreements with the Columbus Flyer Disc Golf Club of Central Ohio.
Griggs Reservoir
2933 Riverside Dr. Upper Arlington, OH 43221
The Griggs Reservoir Disc Golf Course is an 18-hole course, that features large concrete tee pads and both open and wooded fairways. The adjacent Scioto River factors into holes 8, 17 and 18. Additionally, both the Disc Golf Mart (1971 Riverside Dr.) and Franks Marathon (3116 Riverside Dr.) are located nearby and provide sales on golf discs.
Hoover Reservoir
2000 Central College Rd. Westerville, OH 43081
The Hoover Reservoir Disc Golf Course, also known as the Brent Hambrick Memorial Disc Golf Course, is a full-length, 27-hole championship course. The course features large concrete tee pads with a double tee and pin placements on many holes. The course contains a good mixture of both open and wooded fairways. The newest 9 holes are labeled as “A” through “I.”
Walnut Hill
6001 E. Livingston Ave. Columbus, OH 43232
The Walnut Hill Disc Golf Course is located on approximately 30 acres of what used to be the Walnut Hill Golf Course which is currently being developed as a park. The course includes 18 holes, each with short and long tee pads as well as 2 different goal locations which can be changed to allow for repair of the course and to change dynamics. We have been working with both local and regional disc golf designers/players in the design of the course. All funding for the park development came from PDO funds.
