Camp Public Health is a week-long career exploration day camp blending health, environmental and social sciences. Campers will discover how doctors, nurses, social workers and environmental health specialists protect health, improve lives and advocate for better health outcomes for all. Participants will learn first-hand from public health professionals at Columbus Public Health and visit The Ohio State University College of Public Health and OSU Extension at Waterman Agricultural and Natural Resources Laboratory to see up close how college students prepare for careers in public health. Campers will be transported to location of the day for camp and then back to Blackburn.
Fee: Resident $100, Non-resident fees apply
Ages: At least 13 but less than 18
Meals: Not provided. Bring breakfast, lunch, snack and a personal water bottle (with camper’s name).
Camp Hours: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Before Camp Drop-Off: 7:30-8 a.m. | After Camp Pick-Up: 5-5:30 p.m.
Late Pick-Up Fee: A $15 fee applies for pick-ups between 5:30-5:45 p.m., with an additional charge of $1 per minute for arrivals after 5:45 p.m.
