Camp Public Health is a week-long career exploration day camp for teens, blending health, environmental and social sciences. Campers will explore how professionals like doctors, nurses, dietitians, sanitarians and epidemiologists protect communities and promote health. Campers will engage with experts from Columbus Public Health, and they will visit The Ohio State University College of Public Health to see public health careers and education in action. This camp offers an inside look at the dynamic field of public health, emphasizing the importance of protecting and advocating for healthier neighborhoods and communities.
Campers will be transported to location of the day for camp and then back to Blackburn.
Fee: Resident $60 / Non-resident $72
Ages: At least 13 but less than 18
Meals: Not provided. Bring breakfast, lunch, snack and a personal water bottle (with camper’s name).
Camp Hours: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Before Camp Drop-Off: 7:30-8 a.m. | After Camp Pick-Up: 5-5:30 p.m.
Late Pick-Up Fee: A $15 fee applies for pick-ups between 5:30-5:45 p.m., with an additional charge of $1 per minute for arrivals after 5:45 p.m.
