Where swimming is accessible and enjoyable for everyone! Our program is dedicated to offering inclusive aquatic experiences, with a variety of tailored activities designed to meet diverse needs and abilities. Whether you’re looking to experience the thrill of competition, improve your skills with personalized swim lessons, or stay fit in our adaptive swim fitness classes, we have something for everyone.
All swim classes and all ability levels are welcome. Any swimmer who requires 1:1 support in the water must have an aide in the water with them during the class.
Adaptive Aquatics Fitness
Adaptive Aquatic Fitness is a group aquatic fitness class for adults with disabilities that provides a staff led workout in between an individualized warm-up and cool-down. Some exercises are performed in the diving well so ability to swim and comfort in the deep is recommended. You can register via ActiveNet.
Adaptive Swim Lessons Level 1
This adaptive swim lessons program is appropriate for any child with a disability who is at an American Red Cross level 1. If your child has never taken lessons before, they will begin at level 1 until being assessed at the first lesson. Parents may support their children entering and exiting the water, and observe the lesson from the stands. You can register via ActiveNet.
Adaptive Swim Lessons Level 2 and 3
This adaptive swim lessons program is appropriate for any child with a disability who is at an American Red Cross level 2 or 3. If your child has never taken lessons before, they will begin at level 1 until being assessed at the first lesson. Adaptive Swim Club
Adaptive Swim Club training is for any swimmer with a disability who is at an American Red Cross swim level 3 or higher. Saturday training is a continuation of the 2024-2025 Columbus Albatross Swim Club in preparation for the season and Para Open in Cincinnati, Ohio, in March 2025.
