Classes and Workshops

Adult art classes are only part of our instructive offerings, we also host a variety of shorter, more in-depth learning experiences on a variety of subjects, from creative writing to raku pottery. Class and workshop registration is handled through the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department’s registration site. If you do not have an account, you will need to sign up for one before registering.

Session 4: July 13 – Sept. 5
Registration: June 13 at 8:30 am

Session 5: Sept. 8 – Oct. 31
Registration: August 29 at 8:30 am

Session 6: Nov. 2 – Dec. 19
Registration: October 24 at 8:30 a.m.

*Due to center renovations Session 1 and 2 classes will be held at the Fran Ryan Center, Whetstone Community Center and the Columbus Performing Arts Center. A free leisure card is REQUIRED for entrance.

Refunds and Transfers

We strive for positive experiences for all of our customers, and offer refunds and transfers, if necessary. Please review the policy for more information on how to request a refund or transfer.

Waitlist

If a class is full, you have the option to join the waitlist. When a person drops the class, waitlisted persons will be called in order by the CAC Receptionist.

You are given until noon the next business day to respond to the CAC Receptionist’s call. If you decline or don’t respond, the next person on the waitlist is called and given until noon the next business day to respond.
Please update phone numbers in your account as we use that number to contact you. We will not contact you by email if there isn’t a working phone number.
There is a non-refundable fee of $2 charged to join the waitlist.

Class Fee Assistance Program

The Class Fee Assistance program is designed to support individuals who face financial barriers who desire to take classes at the center.
