Classes and Workshops
With a long line-up of painting, jewelry, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, pottery classes, and beyond, the Tyson Cultural Arts Center offers a vast array of options for both beginning and experienced artists.
Galleries
The center is home to two galleries showing some of the most impressive work Ohio artists have to offer. The Main Gallery features collections of work following specific themes or in specific artistic media, usually by a variety of artists from across the state.

The Gift Shop at the Priscilla R. Tyson Cultural Arts Center is a on-site store that sells handmade artwork by the center’s students and instructors.

Columbus Recreation and Parks thanks the Ohio Arts Council for its support of select classes and workshops at the Priscilla R. Tyson Cultural Arts Center. These programs are made possible in part by state funding from the OAC, a state agency dedicated to funding and supporting quality arts experiences that strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally and economically.
Artist in Residence Program
The AiR program focuses on three main pillars: Nature, Wellness, and Creativity. Proposed projects by applicants who focus on one or more of these 3 pillars will be considered for funding. Diversity and Inclusion is a core focus of the City of Columbus and the Tyson Cultural Arts Center.
