Where can I play pickleball in Columbus?

In 2019, Columbus Recreation and Parks added 23 more court overlays throughout the city and increased instructional and open court times at our community centers. Check out information on adult pickleball leagues and other ways to play pickleball with Columbus Recreation and Parks.

I need to have a tree removed/a tree has fallen in my neighborhood. Who do I contact?

Contact the City 311 Service Center at 614-645-3111 or visit 311.columbus.gov.

What are park hours? Can I park overnight?

Most Columbus parks are open 7 a.m. – 11 p.m. and we do not allow overnight parking.

Are there any city campground sites available?

Unfortunately, we no longer operate any public campgrounds.

Who can I contact to get my child signed up for a local sports league?

Information on youth sports leagues can be found on the youth sports leagues page. If you would more information, please contact your local community center.

How old do I need to be to participate at a senior center?

You must be 50 or older to take part in our senior (50+) center programming.

Do I have to be a resident of Columbus to participate in programs?

No residency requirements exist to participate in Columbus Recreation and Parks programming unless stated by the specific program. Everyone is welcome!

Do I need a permit to film in a park or on public streets?

How do I rent a shelterhouse or plan my wedding in a park?

The Columbus Recreation and Parks Department’s permit office handles rental of department facilities such as gyms, shelterhouses and rooms. The office also issues special permits for block parties and popular wedding sites in our parks. Visit columbusrecparks.com/event-venues for more information.

How do I plan a block party, festival, event or race?

Who do I talk to about cleanup at one of your water reservoirs?
Can I fish in the ponds at Columbus Recreation and Parks’ parks? Do I need an Ohio fishing license?

Yes, you may fish in the ponds at Columbus Recreation and Parks Department parks. All individuals over the age of 16 must have an Ohio fishing license. Learn more about getting an Ohio fishing license and Ohio’s fishing regulations.

How Can I Get My W2s or Employment Verification?

W2 Request: W2s are accessible for current and former employees at Dayforcehcm.com. If you don’t have access or were employed before 2020, please contact recparkshr2@columbus.gov
