Aquatics Capital Improvement Plan

Overview

The Columbus Aquatics Capital Improvement Plan (ACIP) report was approved in 2023! Community engagement throughout this process was crucial, and you shared a lot of valuable input with 10 community meetings and 2,400 survey respondents. Your feedback helped the department design two pools that opened in summer 2023, as well as two pools that will be replaced in the near future. These new pools will fit the needs of Columbus residents and programming for years to come. Thank you for your feedback!

Pool Renovations

We have been making progress on renovating our pools! Learn more about recently updated pools and some that will be coming in the near future.

Windsor Pool – Opened June 2023

Glenwood Pool – Opened July 2023

Marion Franklin Pool – Opening in June 2026!

Construction will start in September 2025.

Columbus Recreation and Parks will move to cashless payments at all outdoor pool locations. Credit and debit cards, as well as tap-to-pay methods, will be accepted for entry. Visitors can also pre-load admissions to their Leisure Card at their nearest community center or the Columbus Aquatics Center.
