Willow Creek Park
Welcome to Willow Creek Park!
Columbus Recreation and Parks Department is beginning the redevelopment of Willow Creek Park in the fall of 2023, starting with the creation of a master plan for the park and preserve.
The redevelopment of Willow Creek Park will support and complement other parks in the southwest quadrant of the city, while creating a re-imagined neighborhood park for nearby residents. After master planning and design is complete, the park will be redeveloped. The anticipated timeline to complete construction on Willow Creek Park is winter 2026.
The redevelopment of Willow Creek is possible through funding from the City of Columbus and federal grants.
The current timeline is to complete Willow Creek Park’s redevelopment in winter 2026 when construction is complete.
Anticipated Project Schedule
- November 2023 – Open house to gain public feedback
- January 2024 – Open house to share preliminary design
- Park renovation expected to be complete in winter 2026

- Public open house hosted at the Franklin County Forensic Science Center, located at 2090 Frank Road, Columbus. Stop by the open house from 6:30-8:30 p.m. to share your ideas for Willow Creek Park’s redevelopment master plan. This will be a visioning and co-creation session.
