Monica Cerrezuela
Monica Cerrezuela currently serves as the Director of Policy & Legislative Affairs for the Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Board of Franklin County (ADAMH) where is she is responsible for enhancing advocacy and outreach efforts with elected officials at local, state, and national levels. Previously, Monica served as Chief of Staff at the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA). Prior to COTA, Monica was the Advocacy and Community Outreach Manager at The Women’s Fund of Central Ohio. She began her time in public service as an Ohio Legislative Service Commission Fellow where she spent three years as a legislative staffer in the Ohio Senate.
A native of Canton, Ohio, Monica earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy from the University of Michigan. Outside of work, Monica enjoys staying active in the community. She currently serves as a Board Member on the Creating Central Ohio Futures Board and serves as a Commissioner on the Columbus Women’s Commission. Monica previously served as a Commissioner on the Council Residential Districting Commission and is a graduate of the New Leaders Council Columbus program. Monica is proud to call Columbus home and resides in the Old Towne East neighborhood with her cat, Manny.
