The Columbus Recreation and Parks Department stewards more than 14,500 acres of green space. With more than 400 parks, 28 community centers, five athletic complexes, six golf courses and 230 miles of regional trails, the vision to ensure every resident has access to all of the department’s many services is bold.
Tax dollars play an important role in our parks and recreation facilities. However, they alone cannot provide all of the funds needed to maintain and improve vital community services and programs. Through partnerships, donations and the Columbus Recreation and Parks Foundation, we can continue to provide services to all those who use our facilities and participate in our programs.

PLAY SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Kids love to play and you can help make that happen. The PLAY Scholarship Fund gives opportunities to underprivileged youth to participate in Columbus Recreation and Parks Department fee-based programs. Your gifts are tax-deductible.
Adopt-A-Center
Each year our Community Centers provide food and toys for families in need during the holiday season. The Columbus Recreation and Parks’ Adopt-a-Center program is open to individuals, families, businesses and organizations to help us fill Wish Lists.
DonatePartnerships
Partnerships provide private dollars and in-kind contributions that enable Columbus Recreation and Parks to:
- Acquire land for future parks and fulfill maintenance needs for parks
- Build and maintain facilities such as playgrounds, pools and community centers
- Provide recreation and cultural programs for children, families and older adults
