Leadership Through Sports

Leadership Through Sports

Leadership through Sports develops and enhances leadership skills through  sports.  It teaches the fundamentals of the game while building character and instilling leadership qualities in participants. The program is based on three pillars:

Safety: Creating a safe and supportive environment where individuals can learn and grow.

Trust: Fostering a sense of reliability and accountability among participants.

Camaraderie: Creating a sense of community and fostering relationships that can last beyond the program.

Designed for individuals of all ages, backgrounds and skill levels, the program’s curriculum is tailored to meet the needs of each participant, and the instructors are highly experienced and trained to provide personalized instruction and support. While participants learn the mental and physical fundamentals of various sports, they also learn life skills such as patience, teamwork, resilience and more.

The group meets regularly to practice the fundamentals of golf while being mentored by department staff, local law enforcement and volunteers. The group also participates in special events (WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE? WHAT CAN PARTICIPANTS EXPECT?)
