The Columbus Recreation and Parks Department stewards more than 14,500 acres of green space. With more than 400 parks, 28 community centers, five athletic complexes, six golf courses and 230 miles of regional trails, the vision to ensure every resident has access to all of the department’s many services is bold.

Tax dollars play an important role in our parks and recreation facilities. However, they alone cannot provide all of the funds needed to maintain and improve vital community services and programs. Through partnerships, donations and the Columbus Recreation and Parks Foundation, we can continue to provide services to all those who use our facilities and participate in our programs.

Memorial Benches

Donating a bench to our parks can be a wonderful way to memorialize a loved one, honor a cause or give back to your community. Year after year, benches provide park-goers a place to take in the sights, have a rest or enjoy a conversation.
