Overview
Nelson Park is a 30.43 acre neighborhood park in the Near East community. Nelson Park is a trailhead for the Alum Creek Trail.
History
Nelson Park was given to the City of Columbus in 1920 by Anne Eliza, Mary F., Howard B. and Ada Ella W. Nelson, in memory of David Nelson. The park area includes a lot on the North end where a historic house was once erected and removed. Property also includes location of an old mill plaque. Additionally, the parks land stretches north to the old water tank and out to Nelson Road.
